Overview
Teddy Guinea Pigs (also called Swirl or Rosette guinea pigs) have a dense, rough coat covered in multiple rosettes (swirls) that radiate outward from central points across their body. Their coat gives them a charmingly disheveled, fluffy appearance. They are robust, friendly, and relatively easy to care for. Teddies are social and playful and make wonderful pets for families and first-time owners. They typically live 5–7 years.
Personality & Qualities
Teddy guinea pigs are active, playful, and curious. They tend to be bold and exploratory. They wheek enthusiastically and enjoy interacting with people. Their unique coat makes them stand out and they are a favorite at the store.
Daily Care
Fresh hay and water daily. Fresh greens daily. Spot-clean bedding. Check rosettes for debris or matting. Handle daily.
